Musala is the highest peak in Rila Mountain, Bulgaria and the entire Balkan peninsula. Because of its location, it gives us the possibility to enjoy a lovely panoramic view of all biggest mountains in Bulgaria – Rila itself, Pirin, Rhodope, Stara Planina and Vitosha. On the way to the top there are several beautiful lakes where you could have a short brake.
At 8am your guide will pick you up from the hotel. In one and a half hour you will arrive in Borovets, where the bottom station of the cabin lift is. With the gondola for 30 minutes you will go from 1325m to 2369m above sea level. The hike starts from the top station of the lift and it takes approximately 3 hours on the way up. In the beginning it is wide and flat, but the closer you get the harder it becomes. The last part is steep and rocky. On the way up we will have a break at Musala hut, where you could get some fresh drinks. Once on the top, you will have enough time to enjoy the landscape. The expected return is at 7pm.
