Overview

While in Sofia, you have different opportunities to go sightseeing around the city. This tour offers more than just sightseeing - you will visit one UNESCO site, the National History Museum, and have the chance to taste some traditional Bulgarian cuisine at a local traditional restaurant. Please NOTE: The timing includes the time needed for the transfer between our pick-up point and the suburbs of Sofia where the National History museum and Boyana church are located. Boyana Church

This is the best representative of Medieval art, known as the Palaiologan Renaissance where one can appreciate the first ideas of the upcoming Italian Renaissance with all its major features and characteristics! A UNESCO site since 1979, recognized all around the world!

National Museum of History

The museum itself is housed in a significant building from the socialist period of the Republic of Bulgaria, where in a nice and appropriate way, very professionally and visitor friendly are exhibited artifacts dating from the seventh millennium BCE up to the times of World War II. The major attraction here is the Panaguyrishte Thracian Golden treasure, weighing over 6 kg of 24-carat gold!

St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral
